Pranayama & Asana at the Tree of Life Centre
Yogic breathwork and postures to steady the mind and energise the body.
Breath is at the heart of yoga. In this class, yogic breathing techniques (pranayama) are woven together with the physical postures (asana), so you can feel how breath and movement work together to shift your energy and state of mind. It’s a focused, uplifting way to begin the day, leaving you grounded, clearer and more energised.
Classes run every Thursday from 8:15–9:15am at Tree of Life Centre in Hove, led by Tiffany Mendel. All levels are welcome, from breathwork beginners to experienced practitioners. £10 drop-in for the rest of 2026. From January 2027, £14 per class or £72 for 6 weeks.
What is Pranayama & Asana?
Pranayama is the practice of consciously working with the breath. Techniques such as extended exhalation, alternate nostril breathing and gentle breath retention can be both energising or calming, and help regulate the nervous system. Asana prepares the body – opening the chest, freeing the spine and grounding the body – so breathing becomes fuller and easier.
