Somatic Mondays: Therapeutic Yoga & Somatics at the Tree of Life Centre
A lunchtime reset combining therapeutic yoga with gentle somatic movement.
Our Somatic Mondays class is a nourishing pause in the middle of your week, where therapeutic yoga and gentle somatic movement come together. Through slow, sensory-led practice, you’re invited to soften held tension, rediscover a natural ease in your body and let a busy nervous system settle. For one quiet hour, you can step out of your head and back into how your body truly feels. Most people leave calmer, lighter and more grounded, carrying that sense of ease with them through the rest of the week.
Classes are led by Tiffany Mendel every Monday from 12–1pm at Tree of Life Centre in Hove. All levels are welcome, including complete beginners, and anyone living with stress, restriction or ongoing tension. Drop in for £14, or book 6 weeks for £72.
What is Somatic Mondays?
Somatics is an approach to movement that focuses on internal sensation and – the body as experienced from the inside. Slow, deliberate movements help retrain habitual patterns of muscular holding, so tight areas can release and movement becomes easier.
Therapeutic yoga adapts yoga postures, breathwork and relaxation to individual needs, with an emphasis on healing and wellbeing rather than performance. Combined, they create a gentle yet powerful practice for long-term comfort, resilience and self-connection.
