Somatic Workshop at the Tree of Life Centre
A monthly 90-minute deep dive into somatic movement, nervous-system regulation and release.
Our bodies hold on to stress, habits and experiences, often without us realising. This workshop guides you through slow, mindful somatic practices to notice where you’re holding tension and gently let it go. Gentle movement, breath and body awareness work together to help settle your nervous system. The longer format gives you time to explore, integrate and truly rest, so you head home grounded and at ease.
These 90-minute workshops run monthly on Sundays from 2–3:30pm at Tree of Life Centre in Hove, led by Emily Kennedy-Barnes. No experience is needed. £20 per person.
What is Somatic Workshop?
Somatic practices focus on the internal experience of the body. Through slow, gentle movement, breath and attention to sensation, they help reset habitual tension patterns and support the nervous system to shift from ‘fight or flight’ towards a calmer ‘rest and digest’ state. Each workshop explores a theme.
